Preventative Dentistry
At LetterSperber Dentistry our top priority is to help you maintain a healthy beautiful smile. One of the best ways to achieve this is through a lifetime of preventive dental care including regular dental visits and effective home care hygiene habits.
Cleanings/Periodontal Treatment
The team at LetterSperber Dentistry will work with you to provide complete dental care, and show you how to maintain your smile at home with the right dental products for you and your family.
During a typical checkup at LetterSperber Dentistry, our hygienists will remove the plaque and tartar build up that accumulates on your teeth between dental visits, paying special attention to both above and below the gum line of all teeth. After completing a periodontal assessment and checking for signs of gum disease, we can recommend the appropriate preventative cleanings for you.
Dental Exams
Routine exams are a key component to maintaining your oral health. During an oral exam our dental team will check the health of your entire mouth including your teeth, gums and surrounding tissues. LetterSperber Dentistry encourages dental exams to identify and treat oral health problems early. Benefits of early detection help avoid extensive future treatment.
Digital X-Rays
Using the most advanced dental technology is just as important as keeping current with the latest treatment techniques. Because LetterSperber Dentistry is dedicated to providing you with the safest and most convenient treatment options available, we utilize advanced digital x-ray technology in our office. Digital x-rays provide several advanced imaging options designed to save time, provide clearer dental photos, and expose patients to less radiation than traditional x-ray technology. Timely dental x-rays allow us to treat cavities as conservatively as possible before they develop into more costly and involved treatment down the road.
Sealants
Dental sealants are a thin, white protective coating that is applied to the chewing surfaces of teeth – usually the back teeth – to prevent tooth decay by shielding the tooth against plaque, food and acids. With sealants, food glides over the teeth instead of getting stuck in the grooves. Sealants are most commonly placed in children’s permanent molars because they are prone to cavities, but they can also be placed on adult’s teeth. Ask us if sealants are right for your family.
Oral Cancer Screenings
While it is true that oral cancer is becoming more prevalent, the good news is that it can easily be diagnosed with an annual oral cancer exam, and effectively treated when caught in its earliest stages. At LetterSperber Dentistry, we perform oral cancer screenings to help catch any precancerous or cancerous lesions as early as possible. This allows for much more conservative treatment and more importantly improves the prognosis for treating and beating oral cancer.
